Joe Tipps - Associate Minister & Director of Youth ProgramsJoe Tipps was born in Yuba City, California. His family moved to Grass Valley where Joe learned to love youth and family ministry while studying under Eli. Hooper. In 2004, he enrolled in the Adventures in Missions (AIM) program based out. of Lubbock Texas. After eight months of intensive biblical and practical training, Joe spent 14 months in Bozeman, Montana with five other teammates doing youth and college ministry. Upon graduating from the AIM program in 2004 he helped his friend and mentor, Eli Hooper, start a college ministry. After two years, Joe decided to make the leap into full time ministries by attending the Sunset International Bible institute where he earned a Bachelors Degree in Religious Studies. While attending college he also worked as a counselor for the AIM program. In 2007 Joe was hired by the Sudan Texas Church of Christ to reorganize, develop, and maintain an active, vibrant, and spiritually aware youth program. In 2009, he came to the Simi Church of Christ as associate minister/youth minister. Joe Tipps and his wife Natalie are passionate for family-based youth ministries. This means that the family and not the youth minister is the standard by which all activities, lessons, and programs are based on. You can reach Joe Tipps at (805) 527-2328 ext. 103 |
